The strategic role of social responsibility in the overall achievement of sustainable competitive advantage (case study in the General Company for the manufacture of fertilizers South

Abstract

The present research aims to discuss the role of the strategy for the overall, the social responsibility for achieving the sustainable competitive advantage. According to this case study, The South Company of Fertilization had chosen for this specific research. There are two reasons for this choice. First, the practical as well as social activities are found there. Second, the continuous work of this company even after the events in 2003 not like other companies. This filed research based on the actual analysis of those social activities which were accomplished between (2004 – 2006).
The study also depends on the questionnaire which was delivered to a group of (100). The research used several statistic methods via the statistic program (spss)
The conclusion and the recommendations which related to the social activities of the social horizon strategy showed that the social performance which supported the economic performance played a vital role to the sustainable competitive advantage.
