The study aimed to identify the range of knowledge that plastic houses farmers have on the basics of under-cover cultivation. Research community included all farmers in the field of under-cover cultivation in Heat district (74 farmers). Data were collected for the study through a questionnaire prepared for this purpose. The results showed that more than two-thirds of farmers have arange of knowledge of the basics inunder-cover cultivation between the medium and the good and very good in most of the fields of knowledge required by under-cover cultivation except for a few of the items such as keeping records to calculate the costs and production, maintaining the polyethylene, using the computer, conducting sterilization of soils and conducting preventive control, where the results showed that the range of knowledge of farmers in these items were weak. The study found low or no cognitive effect for farmers in lack of success or failure of theunder-cover cultivation in the district. The study recommends the necessity of involving the farmers in training course, especially those results that showed weak cognitive aspects of the farmers, as well as conducting other studies to determine the reasons that lie behind the lack of or failure of this type of agriculture, despite the support directed to it by the state
