They were mostly influenced by his creativity, literary style and his ability to formulate his poetic images which mostly represented his environment and his background. Even those critics who rediculed the authors who worshiped Shakespeare did unconsciously admire him because Shakespeare’s encyclopedic talent enabled him to represent the human experience in all senses, putting life into the context of art. This study aims to show how the works of Shkespeare have been influential on Arab poet consciously and unconsciously by means of adaptation, appropriation and intertextuality. It refers to certain names as Ahmed Shawqi, Salah Abdel Sabur and Badr Shakir Alsayyab.

وقد أثرت وليام شكسبير كل جيل من الكتاب منذ العصر الإليزابيثي حتى الوقت الحاضر. وقد تأثر في الغالب عن طريق إبداعه، الأسلوب الأدبي وقدرته على صياغة له الصور الشعرية التي تمثل معظمها بيئته وخلفيته. حتى أولئك النقاد الذين سخروا المؤلفين الذين يعبدون لم شكسبير دون وعي معجب به لأنه موهبة الموسوعية شكسبير مكنته من تمثيل التجربة الإنسانية في جميع الحواس، ووضع الحياة في سياق الفن. وتهدف هذه الدراسة إلى إظهار كيف كانت أعمال شكسبير تأثيرا على الشاعر العربي بوعي ودون وعي عن طريق التكيف، والاعتماد والتناص. وهو يشير إلى بعض الأسماء مثل أحمد شوقي وصلاح عبد الصبور وبدر شاكر السياب.
