الملخص:تناول البحث دراسة المدن التي قامت شرق نهر الاردن، و في الجنب الشرقي من البحر الميت ،وقد انقسمت الى قسمين الاول يبداْ من نهاية حدود مناطق عمون الجنوبية ويستمر حتى الحد الفاصل بين القسمين، الادومي في جنوب البحر الميت ، والمؤابي المطل علىيهاوينتهي الى شمالة ، وقد ساهم كلاهما في رسم تاريخ المنطقة من خلال النشاط السياسي والاقتصادي والاجتماعي على اراضهم ، اذ تميزت كل واحده من هذه المدن بنشاط مختلف عن الاخر، مناها الصناعية واخرى تجارية .
