Several mechanisms have beencarried outafter that to investigate QE. Among them is study the heterostructuressolar cells using one layer of the QD that found to be effective and give high QEsolar cells.Another mechanism isstudyingthe effect of changing QD size, and it is found to be efficient in tuning QE and its spectrum. Thestructural studies are carried out by using spectrum ranges within the range of 250-500 nm that is essential in solar cells applications to cover UV and visible spectrum.
