@Article{, title={The difference of ethnic identities in Iraq and the impact of the external factor in its differences in post-2003 اختلاف الهويات الاثنية في العراق وأثر العامل الخارجي في خلافاتها ما بعد 2003}, author={Sami Ahmed Saleh سامي احمد صالح and Ayman Abdel Aoun ايمن عبد عون}, journal={Diyala Journal of Human Research مجلة ديالى للبحوث الانسانية}, volume={2}, number={79}, pages={676-714}, year={2019}, abstract={Because of its water abundance, fertility and temperate climate, Iraq has been an ideal direction for the emigrating tribes which sought proper situations for life. Simultaneously, it has been an ideal target for invaders who sought power and wealth. Accordingly, Iraq turned into a crucible where different nations have been melted to produce different identities. These identities have had a long history of struggle as well as of cooperation. This research attempts to categorize the Iraqi identities and the factors responsible for their emergence, strength and survival. The research also aims to analyze the brutal sectarian conflict which erupted during the few years following the collapse of Ba’ath regime. It is concluded that Iraqi identities could be divided into two main categories; primordial identities, which are old to the extent that their origins are not known (such as Mandean, and Yazidi), and socially constructed identities, which have been shaped through turning points in the history of the society (such as Shia and Sunnah). The struggle among socially constructed identities is harder and more complicated than that among primordial ones. Further, two factors are responsible for the dynamic of the sectarian conflict; the ideological characteristics of the ethnic group and the balance of political, human and military power among the groups.The research does not underestimate the essential role played by the regional and global powers in escalating and complicating the ethnic conflicts which took place in a Iraq, especially after 2003. Finally, the research argues that the creation of a strong national identity which is able to subordinate all the secondary identities is the only way by which Iraq can turn its ethnic diversity into strength in stead of weakness.

بسبب وفرة مياهه وخصوبة ارضه واعتدال مناخه كان العراق منذ فجر التاريخ قبلة للأقوام المهاجرة بحثا عن الماء والكلأ، وكانت سهوله التي توسدت ضفاف رافديه مهدا لأولى الحضارات وأرقاها. وفي الوقت ذاته، أغرى العراق الطامعين بالمال والسلطة في غزوه وسلب خيراته، وبذلك كان بودقة تنصهر فيها الأقوام والحضارات لتنتج هويات اثنية مختلفة تآخت مرات وتصارعت مرات أخرى راسمة تاريخا يتلون بلوني الشمس والدم. ويهدف هذا البحث الى تصنيف تلك الهويات واختلافها عن بعضها البعض ودراسة العوامل التي أدت الى نشوئها وصمودها في وجه الصعاب التي مرت بها. ثم يحاول البحث دراسة المكونات الاثنية لعراق اليوم والأسباب التي أدت الى اندلاع موجة العنف الطائفي التي حصدت عشرات الآلاف من الأرواح في السنوات العجاف التي أعقبت سقوط النظام البعثي على أيدي القوات الأميركية. ويميز البحث بين نوعين من الهويات التي تشكلت في العراق عبر تاريخه الطويل؛ الأول هو هويات أصيلة ضاربة في القدم ويصعب جدا الوقوف على اصلها (كالصابئة والأيزيدية) والثاني هو هويات مُستحدثة اوجدتها ظروف سياسية استثنائية (كالشيعة والسُنّة). ويستنتج البحث ان صراع الهويات المستحدثة أشد وأعنف بكثير من صراع الهويات الأصيلة التي تقلصت كثيرا مع مرور الزمن. ويحدد البحث عاملين أساسيين لديناميكية الصراع الإثني هما: المشارب الأيديولوجية للمكونات الاثنية، وميزان القوى البشرية والسياسية والعسكرية بينها. ولا يقلل البحث من الدور الأساس الذي تلعبه القوى الإقليمية والدولية في تأجيج الصراعات الاثنية في البلدان التي تعدها ضمن مناطق نفوذها السياسي. ويؤكد البحث ان تغليب الهوية الوطنية على بقية الهويات الإثنية وإزالة كل أسباب التوتر والصدام بين تلك المكونات يمثّل شرطا أساسا لتحويل التنوع الإثني في العراق الى عامل قوة ووحدة عوضا عن كونه عامل ضعف وتشظي.} }
