They were an example of sincerity with Allah and saving of good deeds. These three persons were travelling and entered a hole in a mountain to avoid rain and darkness, then a rock which was difficult to be removed closed the hole so that they suggested to supplicate to Allah with their good deeds in hope that Allah saves them from this inevitable death. As their deeds were good and virtuous, prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned their story to praise them and state that supplication with good deeds is the closest to be answered in hardship and all what harms man.

يشرح هذا البحث حديثًا للنبي –صلى الله عليه وسلم- فيه اخبار الامم السالفة شرحًا موضوعيًا مفاده أن يتأسى مجتمعنا المسلم بالنفر الذين دار عليهم الحديث فقد كانوا مثلًا يحتذى في الاخلاص مع الله وادخار الاعمال الصالحة وأنها تنفع المؤمن اذا ما حل به كرب او مصيبة لأنَّ صنائع المعروف تقي مصارع السوء , فهؤلاء الثلاثة نفر الذين كانوا في سفر فأووا الى غار في الجبل ليتقوا المطر ونوائب الطريق والليل أطبقت عليهم الغار صخرة لا قوة لهم برفعها فاقترحوا ان يدعوا الله بصالح اعمالهم الخالصة لوجهه لعل الله يرحمهم وينجيهم من هذا الهلاك المحتوم, فكانت اعمالهم عظيمة ولأهميتها ذكرهم النبي –صلى الله عليه وسلم- ليمدحهم وأنَّ التوسل بالأعمال الصالحة هو أقرب لاستجابة الدعاء عند الكربات والشدائد وكل ما يسوء الانسان ويؤذيه.
