The highest reduction in percent of an egg – hatching was: 98.8% and 97.7% for E. cautella and S.cerealella respectively for two days egg old and for the longest exposure period which was 15 min. while Callosobruchus maculatus eggs appeared to be highly resistance to U.V. radiation for all tested ages and exposing periods.
