احتلت القارة الأفريقية بنحو خاص في حقل السياسة الخارجية للحركة الصهيونية العالمية في المرحلة التي سبقت قيام إسرائيل عام 1948. إلا إن تلك الأهمية لم تتبلور بشكلها الواضح؛ إلا بعد أخفاق إسرائيل في الاستحواذ على مركز بين الدول الأفرو-آسيوية أثناء عقد مؤتمر باندونغ عام 1955، وشعورها في العزلة الدولية، إذ ساعدت جملة من العوامل على تقاربها مع دول القارة الأفريقية وكسب تأييدها في المحافل الدولية. من هنا بدأت (إسرائيل) في مدّ نفوذها، إلى مختلف المؤسسات والقطاعات والأروقة الأفريقية الرسمية وغير الرسمية، حتى استطاعت بعد مدة قصيرة من التغلغل إلى معظم دول القارة وعلى مستوى واسع من العلاقات الإقتصادية و السياسية والعسكرية والثقافية ER -
