Significantly elevated levels of potassium, phosphorus, and proteins had been realized as first result of this study which might be explained due to the continuous adrenergic over stimulation of salivary gland in hypertensives under taking Atenolol, magnesium in saliva appear reduced in treated hypertensives with Captopril than with Atenolol. Whereas there is dropping in the level of sodium in the two groups than in the control.
