It enables the individual to achieve his interests and needs. As the individual’s need increase, learning another language other than one’s own becomes quite demanding. Yet there is a set of factors, namely educational, social, and cultural which can negatively affect the learning of this new language and hinder the teacher from achieving his task in the right way. As such, the present research accounts for the difficulties faced by teachers of FLs. It also attends to a number of factors that can have negative bearing on teachers’ performance to varied degrees. If we want things to go smoothly, we should attend to the teacher’s interest in his profession. Otherwise the set of negative factors will intrude and change FL classes into places of much disfavour and dissatisfaction on the part of a large number of teachers.
