The study included many experiments, at the initiation stage, the effect of the two auxins Indole butyric acid (IBA) and Naphthalene acetic acid (NAA) supplemented to Murashige and Skoog medium (MS) containing 0.3 mg/l of Benzyladenine (BA) were investigated for their effect on mean number of initiated shoots and length. type of explant were used namely, leaf discs. The effect of different strengths of MS and B5 media on mean number of multiplied shoots was also studied. During acclimatization, different mixture ratios of peat moss and river sand were examined in their effect on plantlets survival. Results showed that IBA achieved the highest mean shoot number formed on the three explants types under investigation reached 6.8 shoots with a mean length of 2.75 cm. Maximum mean shoot number reached 7.3 at the concentration 0.1 mg/l of IBA while maximum mean shoot number reached 6.4 at the concentration 0.0 mg/l of NAA. Results also revealed that MS medium was better than B5 medium in sustaining shoots yielding 8.8 and 6.6 for both media respectively. A significant reduction in mean number of shoots occurred with reducing the medium salt strength. Shoots transferred to MS medium supplemented with 1.0 mg/l of IBA produced the highest mean root number, length and rooting percentage reached 5.5 roots, 2.5 cm and 70% respectively while rooting percentage did not exceed 20% when the same medium was supplemented with 1.0 mg/l of NAA. Plantlets were successfully acclimatized achiving 90% survival when grown on agricultural medium consisted of river sand : peat moss (2:1)v/v.

اشتملت الدراسة الحالية على اجراء عدة تجارب. أختبر في مرحلة نشوء الزروعات وسط MS المجهز بتراكيز مختلفة من الاوكسينين Indole butyric acid (IBA) و Naphthalene acetic acid (NAA) و 0.3 ملغم/لتر من BA في متوسط عدد الافرع واطوالها على الاجزاء النباتية المدروسة (أجزاء الاوراق) لنبات Lisianthus. كما درس تاثير تراكيز مختلفة من قوى وسطي Murashige and Skoog, 1962 (MS) وet al., 1967 B5) Gamborg) في متوسط عدد الافرع خلال مرحلة التضاعف. فيما تضمنت مرحلة التجذير دراسة تأثير تراكيز مختلفة من IBA و NAA بعد تضمينها الى الوسط الغذائي ((MS وتاثير هذا الوسط في تجذير الافرع الناتجة من مرحلة التضاعف كما درس تأثير الوسط الزراعي المكون من التربة المزيجية والبتموس وبنسب مختلفة في نجاح أقلمة النبيتات. اعطى IBA أعلى متوسط لعدد الافرع المتكونة من الاجزاء النباتية الثلاثة بلغ 6.8 فرعاً ومتوسط طول 2.75 سم وبلغ اقصى متوسط عدد أفرع 7.3 جذر عند التركيز 0.1 ملغم/لتر من IBA فيما بلغ اقصاها 6.4 عند التركيز 0.0 من NAA. كما بينت النتائج تفوق الوسط MS على وسط B5 اذ حصل انخفاض معنوي في نشوء عدد الافرع مع تقليل قوة الوسط بلغت اقصاها 8.8 و 6.6 فرعاً في الوسطين على التوالي. أعطت الافرع المنماة على الوسط MS الحاوي على 1.0 ملغم /لتر من IBA اعلى متوسط لعدد الجذور بلغ 5.5 جذراً وبطول 2.5 سم وبنسبة تجذير بلغت 70% في الوقت الذي وصلت فيه اعلى نسبة مئوية للتجذير 20% فقط عند تضمين الوسط 1.0 ملغم/لتر من NAA. أقلمت النبيتات وبنسبة نجاح بلغت 90% بعد زراعتها في وسط زراعي مكون من التربة المزيجية والبتموس بنسبة (1:2) حجم/ حجم.} }
