Journal of Applied Sciences and Nanotechnology (JASN) is an interdisciplinary peer-reviewed, open-access journal, issues four times a year. The journal was established by the Department of Applied Sciences/ University of Technology, Baghdad-Iraq, in 2021 and is scoped in a broad spectrum of science and engineering fields.

Both theoretical and experimental contributions are welcomed. The journal publishes original letters, original full-length research articles, and review articles, while technical reports will not be accepted.

The diversity of disciplines are suitable for publication in the journal. These include pure and applied science, engineering, pharmaceutical, agricultural, medicine, health science, physics, chemistry, ecology, life science, biotechnology, and nanotechnology. The journal intends to provide a high-impact research platform that delivers effective solutions for science and technology challenges.

Manuscripts submitted will be inspected against plagiarism using professionals software to detect similarity and then judged by at least two or three independent qualified expert reviewers using a double-blind peer review. All submitted manuscripts are entirely managed electronically throughout the consideration process to make the submission process more accessible. Journal of Applied Sciences and Nanotechnology makes decisions about the submitted manuscripts as soon as possible. Upon acceptance, the journal immediately provides a letter of acceptance to the authors once the publishing process initiates. In addition, an electronic pdf copy will be permanently free for everyone to read and download. The journal applies the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License for open access journals.
