The microbend sensor is designed to experience a light loss when force is applied to the sensor. The periodic microbends cause propagating light to couple into higher order modes, the existing higher order modes become unguided modes. Three models of deform cells are fabricated at, 3, 5, 8 mm pitchand tested by using MMF and laser source at 850 nm. The maximum output power of, 8, 5, 3mm model is, 3, 2.7, 2.55nW respectively at applied force 5N and the minimum value is, 1.9, 1.65, 1.5nW respectively at 60N.The strain is calculated at different microbend cells, and the best sensitivity of this sensor for cell 8mm is equal to 0.6nW/N.

Diagnostic X-ray is one of the ionizing radiation that plays an important role in medical examination. Despite its great benefit, it is considered the largest source of artificial radiation exposure to public. The aim of the study is to measure the entrance surface dose, ESD of patients undergoing chest, lumber spine and knee X-ray examination using TLD-100. The mean Entrance surface dose of chest, PA, lumber spine, AP, LAT and knee, AP, LAT are 1.3mGy, 8.57mGy, 21.5mGy and 0.49mGy, 0.48mGy respectively. The ESDs measured were found to be higher than the published work.

Abstract: This paper described an experimental study ofsome mechanical properties of glass fibers reinforced mortar, GFRM and concrete, GFRC, namely tensile, compressive strength and young `s modulus. The investigation is designed to find out the effect of glass fiber content, 0, 600, 1000, and 1400gm/m3 on the mechanical properties of glass fiber reinforced concrete and mortarat 28 and 14 days respectively. The results indicate that the addition, 600, 1000, 1400 gm/m3 of glass fiber to concrete and mortar increased the splitting tensile strength by approximately, 1, 4.3, 12.5% and, 5.4, 7.7, 17%for concrete and mortar respectively.The results indicate also that compressive strength of concrete increasedby ratios, 3.6, 7.1, 9.3% and for the mortar increases by, 2 %for fibers content, 600 gm/m3 and, 0.8, 0.4%forfiberscontent, 1000, 1400gm/m3.Based on this study the young modulus ofGFRCincreasedby, 9.7, 56.6, 84% due to glass fibers content in concrete. This study was designed to determine the type and prevalence of trumatic dental injuries, aenterio—posterior molar relation among, 519 deaf persons and, 532 school students at 5-16 years of age in the middle region of Iraq. The study showed that the prevalence of traumatic dental injuries were 6.94% for deaf persons and 5.83% for schools students. Males showed a higher percentage of traumatized teeth than females in institutions and school students. Enamel dentine fracture without pulp exposure was the most predominant type among deaf persons while simple enamel fracture was the most predominant among schools students. The majority of deaf persons and schools students demonstrated normal type of occlusion 57.42%, 55.64% respectively. Deaf person showed significantly with percentage of 4.62% mesial full cusp deviation from normal .antero·postrior molar relation compared to school students 2.07%
