SiO2 nanostructure is synthesized by the Sol-Gel method and thin films are prepared using dip coating technique. The effect of laser densification is studied. X-ray Diffraction, XRD, Fourier Transformation Infrared Spectrometer, FTIR, and Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy, FESEM are used to analyze the samples. The results show that the silica nanoparticles are successfully synthesized by the sol-gel method after laser densification. XRD patterns show that cristobalite structure is observed from diode laser, 410 nm rather than diode laser, 532 nm. FESEM images showed that the shape of nano silica is spherical and the particles size is in nano range, ≤ 100 nm. It is concluded that the spherical nanocrystal structure of silica thin films is successfully densified by Doide laser, 410 nm.

A New Mannich base [N-, 4-morpholinomethyl-1, 8-naphthalimide], L, was synthesized and characterized by C.H.N analysis, FTIR, UV-Vis and 1HNMR spectral analysis. Metal ion complexes of, L with Pt, IV, Rh, III, Ru, III and Pd, II ions were prepared and characterized by FT-IR, and UV-Vis spectroscopy, elemental analysis, C.H.N, flame atomic absorption techniques as well as magnetic susceptibility and conductivity measurements. The results showed that metal ion complexes for all complexes were found in [1:2] [M:L] ratio except for Pd, II complex which was found in [1:1] [M:L] ratio. Hyperchem-8 program has been used to predict structural geometries of the, L and it's complexes in gas phase. The electrostatic potential, EP of the, L was calculated. Furthermore, the heat of formation, ∆Hf^o, binding energy, ∆Eb, vibration spectra, electronic spectra and bond length for the ligand, L and its metal ion complexes were calculated by PM3 methods. The antimicrobial activity of, L and its complexes has been extensively studied against pathogenic bacteria such as, Pseudonomous aerugionosa as gram negative and, Bacillus Subtilis as gram positive and fungi, Candida albicans and, Aspergillus flavus by agar-well diffusion technique.

This study includes synthesis and characterization of new derivatives of 3-, 2-, 6-oxo-1, 3-thiazinan-3-yl-R-1, 3-oxazepane-4, 7-dione and N-Bromo amines 1, 3-oxazepane-4, 7-dione derivatives. Schiff's bases reactions through one step process in inert solvents. Some employing Schiff's bases [1- 4], in addition, synthesized by the reaction of different amines with, Salicylaldehyde in absolute ethanol under reflux. Heterocyclic rings of 1, 3-oxazepane-4, 7-dione prepared by the reaction of succinic anhydride with Schiff's bases [1-4] and 3-, 2-, 6-oxo-1, 3-thiazinan-3-yl-R-1, 3-oxazepane-4, 7-dione derivatives were prepared by the reaction of 3-mercaptopropanoic acid with 1, 3-oxazepane-4, 7-dione[A1-A4] in 1, 4-dioxan. Synthesis of some N-bromo amine derivatives by the reaction of 1, 3-oxazepane-4, 7-dione[A1-A4] with 2, 4, 4, 6-TBCD, 2, 4, 4, 6-tetrabromocyclohexa-2, 5-dienone in dry benzene, The prepared compounds were identified by melting point, FT-IR, UV-Vis and 1H- NMR spectroscopy.
