The British Role in the Emaraties of the Omanic Coast Between 1892-1939

Abstract

The location of the emaraties of the Omanic coast along the Arabic Gulf has great importance especially in military which was very important for Britain which had very strong armada. The other side is the commerce which played important role in the economy the big countries especially trade which financed their wars. The importance of the these emaraties comes from receiving most of the commodities that pass through the Arabic Gulf. Also the policy of the rulers of these emaraties at that time took part in cutting the taxes on these commodities that passed their ports especially Dubai which encouraged the merchants to use these ports to transport their goods and made use of the policy of their rulers as they declared it a free market.
