Abstract

Over the past twenty years it has become based studies to mind large and growing importance in the psychological community as a means to understand and exploit all human potential to reach the best levels, especially sports level.And the study of mental alertness is one of the studies that have gained considerable attention recently in Western society down to our Arab society.Summed up the research problem in that the performance and design of the series optional for each student ground and which is supposed to be innovative and contain a touch of the requesting their own without the skills and movements restrictions and the method of linking imposed by the teacher hardly be traditional or a replica of the previous kinetic chains in addition to the lack of the existence of sufficient awareness and attention during the performance, which makes the final performance of the weak and not at the required level.The study aimed to identify the relationship between mental alertness and performance series optional ground in artistic gymnastics.To investigate the aim of the research researcher assumed that there was no statistically significant differences between mental alertness and performance series optional ground relationship.After the distribution of the scale form the research sample found that there was a significant positive correlation between mental alertness and performance of ground chain relationship.The researcher recommended the need to address the psychological and mental aspect for the students as they have a positive impact on performance and
