Effective use of e-government applications in improving the performance of local governments applied study in the office of the province of Babylon

Abstract

The research aims to identify the effectiveness of the use of e-government applications in improving the performance of local governments from the administrative, technical and citizens affairs, and to achieve this study was conducted on the Office of the province of Babylon as a sample of local governments in Iraq, which are similar in terms of structural and administrative tasks carried out among them. And to collect data of the study and achieve their goals, the researcher apply the descriptive method of Comparative after that he designed electronic systems for completion of the work in the office of the province of Babylon and then applied on the ground and compare the results between manual and electronic work .Results of the study have resulted in the following:1.There is a big impact for the use of electronic applications to increase the speed and efficiency of performance in the office of the province of Babylon2.Connect sections working in the Office of the province with each other electronic network and systems specializing in the administrative and technical field and the citizens affairs leads to increased control over the performance both by decision-makers officials or other regulatory authorities so as to ensure transparency and integrity.
