الصراع المرابطي الاراغوني أيام علي بن يوسف 500 - 537 هـ

Abstract

Almoravid State dealt with the defense of the Moslems of Andalusia. Indeed, it pushed back the campaigns of the Christian kingdom, including that of Aragon with which the Moravid emir Ali Ibn Yusuf had dealt with. The conflict had started from the era of Ali Ibn Yusuf in 503 hijri corresponding to 1110 B.C. until the fall of Zaragoza in the hands of Christians in 512 hijri corresponding to 1118 B.C. That really encouraged the leader Alfonso the Battler to launch a military campaign which bored the Andalusian lands but its goals were not achieved. The kingdom of Aragon beat the Almoravids State in the battle of Alcalans in 523 hijri corresponding to 1129 B.C. and the Christian forces approached to the city of Valencia without having attacked it. The battle of Fraga took place in 528 hijri corresponding to 1134 B.C. and was concluded by the victory of the Almoravids against the Aragon State ordered by Alfonso the Battler. He fled and soon died of his defeat grief
