The effect of the guided discovery style to learn some skills on the device (Balance beam and Uneven bars)

Abstract

The research aims to:1. To identify the effectiveness of the guided discovery style and the style adopted in learning some of the motor skills on two devices (Uneven bars and the balance beam) for the students of the second stage College of Physical Education.2- To identify the differences between the two styles of the guided discovery and the style adopted in learning some of the motor skills on two devices (Uneven bars and the balance beam) for the students of the second stage College of Physical Education. The researcher used the experimental method for suitability to the nature of the research problem, the research was conducted on a sample of students in the second year of the academic year 2015- 2016,the sample was chosen by purposively method in the College of Physical Education / University of Salahuddin and of their number was (32), a student, has been divided into two simple random way by lot and by (16) students and the experimental group was (16 students) for the control group, an application program took (8) weeks by educational unit once a week, it was appropriate statistical data means through the statistical treatment of the bag ٍSPSS.Through the search results was reached the following conclusions:1. That the two styles of guided discovery and the style adopted (demonstrate and explain) has had a positive effect on learning some skills under study on the two devices (balance beam and different parallel height.2-The results showed that the learning style of the guided discovery was the most effective from adopted style (demonstrate and explain) in learning the skills under study on the two devices (balance beam and different parallel height).3- The results showed that the control group which used the adopted style (demonstrate and explain) that there is a development appear in learning the skills under study on the two devices (balance beam and different parallel height).
