The Standard Ethics of Science in The Books of Chemistry for The Study of The Intermediate School in Iraq and The Rate That The Students of The Chemistry Department Have to These Standards

Abstract

Looking at the great integration between the chemistry books and the teachers of this subject in the educational process and what leads to such integration of the suitable and profitable results, the researcher tries to shed the lights on the availability of the standard ethics of science in the chemistry books and to recognize the rate that (the future chemistry teachers) possess to these ethics. To achieve the objectives of the research, the scholar has prepared two tools to examine. It has been asserted of its validity and stability. One of these tools is a classification table to analyze the content to detect the standard ethics of science in three main books (academic, applied, and humanity) including (17) sub-fields. As it has been analyzed (310) pages of the three samples books in the research.While the second tool, which is the measurement of the scientific ethics includes (43) positive and negative items. It has been applied on (37) female senior students of the chemistry department who are the sample of the research. After the data has been processed, the results has referred to the following:•The books of chemistry for the second and third year do not include the standard ethics of science, while these criteria were available in the chemistry books of the first year of intermediate school only and in a level that is more than suggested by the specialists and experts. •The standard ethics of science has been varied in the main field and the three books of the research’s sample. •The students of the chemistry department in the college of education for girls from the research’s sample have these standards with a large rate that reached (94,5%) from the sample. This attribution obtains the highest scores of the suggestion criterion by the experts and the specialists, which reached (75%) degree. The study has reached to a number of conclusions and recommendations.
