Economics of Environment and Sustainable Development

Abstract

Abstract All communities are looking to achieve sustainable development through the improvement and rationalization of the economy in order to achieve economic well-being of the population without hurting the environment. Since the nineteenth century, the theme of development and growth took more interest and great attention from economists thinking , but the subject of the environment ,pollution , the environment and sustainability has not received enough attention until the last quarter of the last century , especially those problems related to the environment resulting from the process of development and economic growth . However, new concept of the environment and economic development relationship appeared at the global level due to the negligence of the natural resources and their impact on the environment and the population. The study of the dimensions of sustainable development without integrated with the study of the economics of the environment and environmental pollution will not lead to any result but will add new problems to developing countries now and in the future, especially in the absence of rational use of natural resources. The research try to find a relationship between the economics of the environment and sustainable development , and the impact of this type of development on environmental pollution and on the share of the next generation of economic well-being in light of the current depletion of economic resources.
