Family violence and its relationship to the aggressive behavior of high school students

Abstract

The objective of the current research is to identify the relationship between family violence and aggressive behavior among secondary school students by verifying the following hypothesis: - There are no statistically significant differences at the level of (0.05) between the average grade of secondary students on the scale Domestic violence, and the average of female students on the scale of aggressive behavior). The study sample consisted of (200) female students of secondary schools belonging to the General Directorate of Diyala Governorate, in the city of Baquba, Diyala Governorate, for the academic year 2016-2017. The researcher applied the family violence measure which she prepared, consisting of (20) The researcher used correlation coefficient Pearson and T-Test in the statistical bag for social sciences (SPSS)in ordeder to extract the results of the research. The study found statistically significant differences at the level of (0,05) between the average score of female students on the scale of domestic violence, their scores on the aggressive behavior scale and the measure of aggressive behavior, indicating a relationship between domestic violence and aggressive behavior among secondary school students .
