(Abstract) The ancient kingdom of Mari located in the upper Euphrates River, 11 km inside the Syrian border, the Kingdom has gained political and economic importance by its geographical location, it featured a point communication between Mesopotamia and Syria and the country's path walked by the trade caravans and military campaigns. The Kingdom of Mary ruled for a long time under controlled old Iraqi nations, it has been subject to the rule of Sumerians and Akkadians, Assyrians, Babylonians, but this situation did not bends its kings to enjoy the independence of their kingdom , Among the most prominent kings (Zimri- Lim) who achieved the independence of Mari and extend its influence to include the territory stretching from the east of the Syrian to Tutul (Hit) inside Iraqi territory.Mari kingdom's economy depends on trade, agriculture and industry, especially the textile industry. Kingdom of Mari associated with broad connections with the internal kingdoms of Syria such as the Kingdom of Yamkhad and Jebeel and Carchemish and others, as is the case for the kingdoms of Mesopotamia.In the end the Kingdom of Mari ended by the hands of Babylonian King Hammurabi, as it was able to enter military force to destroy them.
