Abstract

This research tries, through spotlighting on the views of the modernists and their definitions for the "similarity phenomenon" and showing the reasons for its occurrence as a common phenomenon in many languages, to cover the all dimensions of this phenomenon and explain its different types. As well as, it aims to determine a solid asymptotic for what presented by the modernists of various views which attempt to guide the sound changes that display the formula (Al-Aftiaal) in a certain sound sequences, and its reasoning as a manifestation of the development in the Arabic voice structure.Despite the fact that, this issue was one of the most common issues which has been researched by modernists in their sound studies. However, the comparing of the views of the most prominent scholars who have sought to interpret, has shown that they have not met all the prospects or/and found out the solid explanations to all its aspects. Some of the solutions they have been proposed by scholars were inaccurate in terms of sound, and others have based on the assumption instead of the reality. All these issues were the focus of discussion of this research, the researcher concludes from this study to the weighting the closer of these views to the right and the inference to it. Moreover, the researcher seeks to cover all the faces and dimensions of, this phenomenon, which have been missed by the previous researchers, as required by the similar theory, and what are related to it of other voice roles, such as the strongest law. There is no doubt that the approval of the practical side - performance eloquent speech - the result of which has led to theoretical analysis is the best proof of the its correctness.
