Educational Innovations at Palestinian Schools “An analytical study”

Abstract

This study aimed at identifying educational innovations at Palestinian schools in the light of the developments of the current century, in terms of identifying the challenges facing educational innovations at Palestinian schools, ways of addressing them and highlighting the educational innovations at Palestinian schools according to two areas: Learning environment and teaching strategies. The researcher adopted the qualitative approach through the analysis of literature contained in the documents, reports, studies and experiments specialized in the field of the study besides a semi-codified interview to answer the questions of the study and to present recommendations and proposals.The results of the study indicate that the educational innovations require deep understanding of its objectives and components and needs to be based on tracks that can be considered as a theoretical and key reference frame for the process of educational innovations in schools education. The study showed many challenges to educational innovations at Palestinian schools, the most important of which is the lack of material resources and lack of competencies in the field of educational innovations at schools. The study also showed that overcoming these challenges can be achieved through the adoption of educational policies that support educational innovations and a sound and open educational thought, an educational environment with qualified physical and human resources, in addition to professionals in the field of educational innovations. Finally, the study also showed that educational innovations in teaching environments and teaching strategies at Palestinian schools did not reach the level required by the current century.
