Effectiveness of video in the teaching of the Prophet's biography in the curricula of Islamic education "Experimental Study"

Abstract

Aim of the study The population of this study comprised all seventh grade students in Damascus, the researcher purposely selected (82) students in Rukin –aldeen and divided them into tow section: -An experimental section ,which consisted of (42) students ,studied biography and translations using the video-A control section ,which consisted of (40) student ,studied biography and translations by the current traditional approach.The researcher applied an achievement test to evaluate students progress in both groups ,the results were as follows: 1-using video in teaching biography and translations was more effectives than the traditional approach.2-there were statistically significant differences at(0.01)in favor of students in the experimental section.3-there were statistically significant differences at (0.01) in the mean grades students in the post –test in favor of the experimental section.This indicated that using video in teaching biography and translations was effective
