The future of Iraqi-Saudi relations after the ISIS: challenges and opportunities

Abstract

The relations between Iraq and Saudi Arabia have been characterized by conflict and fragmentation at times and with cautious cooperation at times according to regional and international circumstances. After the change in Iraq in 2003, the two countries became increasingly divided despite repeated attempts to restore relations to their normal state. In a serious manner through which the role of Iraq can be restored in its Arab environment and relations between the two countries based on mutual respect and consideration of common interests.
