Trends of the Iraqi satellite channels on the political system in Iraq

Abstract

Research Title: Trends of Iraqi Satellite Channels speakers on the Political System in Iraq The research tackles the political and media role of the Iraqi satellite channels speakers, their attitudes and their positions on the political system in Iraq after 2003. The problem of research is that the role of speakers in Iraqi television channels has become a media phenomenon worthy of consideration in its pros and cons, especially in light of the accusations of television journalists by the media and the public at the same time, bias and lack of professionalism and lack of objectivity and credibility, To know the qualifications of these speakers and their specifications, specialties, activities, beliefs and attitudes that appear in their media discourse about the current political system in Iraq and its problems and crises. The study adopted a descriptive survey method and used a questionnaire which included (18) questions and distributed to a sample of (50) speakers as analyst, commentator, speaker, expert, witness or official who participated in Iraqi satellite programs as guests and not employees. The research includes three topics. The first is the methodology of the research, which includes the importance of the research and its problem, the theory of research, its methodology and tools, the research community, the research sample, the hypothesis of research, its questions and the procedural definitions of the research terms. The second section (theoretical framework) deals with previous studies that showed the role of speakers in satellite channels, real programs in which speakers participate, television talk and its media importance, talk shows and their specifications, news commentary and news analysis. The third topic (field survey) includes the results of the questionnaire, through three axes: The first axis: personal, professional and scientific characteristics of the sample of speakers, including sex, age, nationality, academic certificate, scientific specialization and job description.Second: Media and political activities for the sample of speakers, including satellite channels that participate in their programs and the quality of programs and the reasons for participation in television programs and media, political, cultural and other public activities. The third axis: the attitudes, opinions and attitudes of the speakers about the political system in Iraq and include the view of the respondents on the most important threats to the ethnic political system, the most important issues that should receive priority attention and treatment, and their position on the elections that took place in Iraq after 2003, and solutions to the crisis The political system of Iraq, and what kind of better governance for Iraq.
