Abstract

The current research aims to identify lateral thinking among university students as well as to identify the differences in the lateral thinking among the university students according to the variables of the gender (males and females), and the specialization (human, scientific).Therefore the researcher depended on the descriptive research methodology because it is the appropriate one to achieve the, by using ( the percentage , The T test for one and two independent samples, the Pearson correlation coefficient, internal consistency, The T test for one sample ,: the university students have the ability of lateral thinking as well as the presence of the differences between males and females in the level of lateral thinking and for the favor of the males and also there are differences between the human and the scientific specialization in the level of lateral thinking and for the favor of the scientific specialization.
