Level of awareness of the goals of economic education in Islam and its relationship with consumer rationalization to Saudi female university students

Abstract

This research aims to identify the relationship between the level of awareness of the goals of economic education in Islam and the consumer rationalization to a sample of Umm Al-Qura University female students. In order to realize this objective, the researcher drew up a questionnaire that consisted of 3 parts. Part One contained primary data of the members of the study's sample. Part Two included a measurement of the awareness level of the goals of economic education. As for Part Three, there was a measurement of the level of consumer rationalization to the members of the study's sample which consisted of 388 female university students of Umm Al-Qura University in theoretical and applied specializations. For the purpose of statistical analysis, correlation coefficient, arithmetic mean and standard deviation were used in addition to (T. test). The findings showed the existence of a strong, positive correlation between the level of awareness of the university students of the goals of economic education in Islam and their consumer rationalization of (0,725) at level 1.01. Also, there were differences of a statistical significance at 0,05 in the level of awareness of the goals of economic education in Islam and consumer rationalization to the sample members in favor of students of theoretical colleges and those who had training courses in the culture of financial awareness, in addition to their source of income (the monthly bonus) with respect to the pivotal point of consumer rationalization.
