Cognitive Motivation for Studentsat Preparatory Stage Researcher

Abstract

The current research aims to identify (cognitive motivation for studentsat preparatory stage). The researcher used descriptive method and has limited the students of the preparatory stage in the morning schools (males only) in the District of Baquba, the Center of the General Education Directorate of Diyala for the academic year 2016/2017. The sample was preparatory students amounting (6057) and the society sample contained (16 schools within the schools of Baqubah Center). The number of students were (6057). The scale was implemented on only (408 students). The researcher adopted the cognitive motivation scale that was prepared by (Al-Shamere, 2009). The scale was exposed to a jury specialized in psychology and educational guidance, measurement, and evaluation the amount of agreement reached (80%). By that, the validity is achieved and as for stability it has been calculated by two ways which are re-test reaching (0. 80) and Cronbach Alpha (0. 77). as for statistical means they were (T-Test for one sample, Pearson Correlation coefficient, and Alpha Cronbach Equation). According to the results, the researcher came up with some conclusions, recommendations, and suggestions.
