Natural symbols in the poetry of the resistance of Ezzedine Mehyoubi

Abstract

One of the most prominent artistic techniques used in modern Arabic poetry is symbolic, modern Arabic poetry, especially the poetry of resistance is full of symbols, and this is due to a number of reasons, such as political repression, embodiment and deepening of meanings and principles, and the participation of the recipient in the thought of the poet and his axioms. After the Arab conquest of the West and the flourishing of the literature of the resistance and the Arab poets and writers on the symbolic school, the use of symbols in the literature of resistance in the Arab world. This article deals with the study of natural symbols in the poetry of the resistance of the contemporary Iraqi poet Balend al-Haidari. Balend al-Haidari speaks in his most famous poems about the homeland, resistance and revolution before the occupiers and the oppressors until they reach freedom and dignity. He uses natural elements as symbols of what he wants to express, covering the meanings and emotions in a curtain of nature symbols and conveying them to the recipient. He seeks his resistance poetry around the original resisters of resistance, ie, occupation, oppression, injustice, revolution and freedom. The negative elements, such as the wolf and the cold To oppression and injustice, and to positive elements such as spring and sun to revolution and freedom. The poet gives these elements meanings and new meanings that are not lexicon. This saves him from the danger of imprisonment, murder and harm. The recipient also participates in what the poet thinks about the homeland and his pain. This research is based on the descriptive descriptive approach and analyzes the symbols' meanings according to the Arab and Islamic culture and the characteristics of the natural elements.
