Training Needs of the Gifted Students' Teachers in the Southern Region Based on the Standards of the National Center for Assessment, KSA

Abstract

The present study aims to identify the degree of training needs of the gifted students' teachers in the Southern Region due to the standards of the National Center for Assessment, KSA. It also investigates the differences in these needs according to demographic characteristics. The study adopted the descriptive approach, and its sample comprised (85) randomly selected teachers. Results revealed that the degree of training needs of the gifted students' teachers in the Southern Region based on the standards of the National Center for Assessment, KSA was high at the level of standards and tool. There were statistically significant differences in the degree of training needs of the gifted students' teachers due to academic qualification. However, there were no statistically significant differences in the degree of training needs of the gifted students' teachers due to gender and teaching experience. The results were discussed based on the theoretical framework and literature review. It also made some recommendations.
