Phrasal Verbs in English and Arabic: A Comparative Study

Abstract

The present study tries to shed light on an area of language that has been given its due attention. Yet, it tries to investigate phrasal verbs. The construction of the Ph Vs consists of a verb which could be a monosyllabic verb of action or movement for instance care get, see, and one or more particles. The meaning of these Ph Vs can not be predicted by knowing the meaning of the combining parts.
