Cutworm Species which demonstrated in some Crop Field

Abstract

The study was conducted to determine the cutworms species was infested crop ( corn , cabbage , potato ) in Mosul regon . The studyshowed that the crop has an effect on cutworm species domination in the field. The study showed that potato plants cabbage & corn in both spring and fall season infect with the following species of cutworm, spodoptera exigua, Agrotis segetum, Agrotis ipsilon while Spodoptera litura infects potato and cabbage, as for sesamia cretica, Mythimna loreye both of them occurred only in corn field .The higher weekly captivity was recorded in spring potato, cabbage & corn fields their amount was 7.26,5.91,14.09 adult per week and 32.44, 30.6, 33.7 weekly captivity percentage respectively. While S. litura was the most frequent in traps in fall potato fields with a good weekly average 7.25 adult per week and 35.8 captivity percentage Their was positive correlation between capture density and temperature in spring and fall potato fields and negative correlation with humidity average and their was no significant positive correlation between capture density and temperature in cabbage & corn fields and non significant negative correlation with relative humidity average.
