The effect of some pesticides and plant extracts on the effectiveness of some enzymes for German cockroaches Blattella germanica (Dictyoptera: Blattellidae)

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the extent of the imbalance caused by pesticides and plant extracts on the effectiveness of some enzymes of Blattella germanica. Six kinds of pesticides were selected, which were available in the commercial market and three refined water plant extracts refined eucalyptus, oleander and figs. The results showed that the impact of pesticide was greater than the impact of plant extracts in functional alterations of the insect and the effectiveness of the enzymes (GOT, GPT, AlP, AcP, G-6-PDH, LDH). The study also showed the insecticides differ in their effect so the water plant extracts.
