THE EFFECT OF LACTOBACILLUS ACIDOPHILUS CONCENTRATED FILTRATE ON SPERM HEAD ABNORMALITY IN ALBINO MALE MICE

Abstract

This study foxed the line on the effect of Lactobacillus acidophilus concentrated filtrate on sperm head abnormality. The result showed that Lactobacillus acidophilus concentrated filtrate caused a significant decrease in sperm head abnormality for all doses (250, 500 and 750 mg/kg) in comparison with negative and positive controls, and revealed that cyclophosphomide showed significant mutagenic actions on the biological system of treated mice by increased frequencies of sperm-head abnormalities were observed. The results of post-treatment by concentrated filtrate also caused a significant decrease in sperm head abnormality, in contrast, the pre-treatment caused non significant decrease in sperm head abnormality in comparison with the corresponding control.
