تأثيـر إضافـة السمـاد الحيـواني والمعـدني علـى النمـو الخضري, الأزهـار, والحاصـل المبكـر لصنفيـن مـن محصول الطماطم (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill. Cvs. Rio Grand and Queen)

Abstract

This study was conducted under plastic tunnels in a randomized block design to find out the effect of an application of 424.8m3 animal manure (cows manure) together with 100 kg from each N, P2O5, and K2O per hectare in comparison with mineral fertilizer alone at the same rate of nutrients. Results indicated that the use of animal manure increased the temperature inside the plastic tunnels by an additional increase of 1.5o c, and resulted in a significant increase in fresh and dry weights of leaves and roots, early flower clusters, No. of fruits, and fruit yield in comparison with plants receiving mineral fertilizer only .Cultivars were significantly different only in fresh weight of plants, while all vegetative growth characteristics were significantly higher at the second vegetative period as compared to the first one due to the subsequent increase in temperature as the growing season progress. Results of this study indicated that the use of mineral fertilizer even at higher nutrients level were not sufficient unless supplemented with animal manure to obtain better plants performance and higher early yield.
