Partial Purification and Characterization of Lipase Produced by Aeromonas hydrophila Isolated from Fecal of Patients Suffering from Diarrhea

Abstract

Seven isolates of Aeromonas hydrophila 24% are obtained from 30 diarrhea samples taken from children with age range (1-5) years. The isolates that produce higher level of lipase enzyme are selected to partially purify this enzyme by using amMonium sulfate, this is because of the benefits of this enzyme as a drug to treat Pancreatic insufficiency, Cystic fibrosis, spastic colon, Digestion of fat and conversion it to energy, in addition to detergent additives. The effect of pH and perfect temperature are studied on the enzyme activity and reveals that the optimum pH is 7.5 and the optimum temperature is 37oC and this activity decreases when pH and temperature values are above or below these values.
