Abstract

In this study we estimate the parameters and reliability function for the generalized Weibull distribution through using traditional methods , probability weighted moments, White method and modified White method. Using simulation method to compare each of the estimation methods to find the best method to estimate the parameters and reliability function, where the simulation was to generate random data of the generalized Weibull distribution for five models of the real values of the parameters: The value of the sample and the replicate for this sample (N=500), and take two values of times which estimate the reliability function for the generalized Weibull distribution. The results of the estimators placed on the tables for the purpose of comparison, this comparison was the use of criteria, namely the mean square error (MSE).
