Biomechanics Analysis of Forward Hands Flip with Single and Double Landing on The Gymnastic Floor Mat apparatus

Abstract

The development in the sport of Gymnastics is not a coincidence but is the result of progress on the technical and research levels that helped athletes in their performance of difficult and complex skills. The apparatuses used in gymnastics are various and require most complex and complicated skills including rotating swinging and flipping which can be taught through exemplary performance using modern technology in presenting the performance of the movement to the athlete with minimal effort. Thus the research aims to identify some of the biomechanics variables the forward hands flip with double and single landing and identify the best movement performed by the sample according to the effort spent in the performance of the skill. The problem of study as expressed by the researcher is ( which moves requires the greatest effort ) . The study sample is one player chosen deliberately and he is the Iraqi champion in gymnastics for the professional category. The researcher used the descriptive approach for its convenience to the nature of the study. The study concluded that the performance of the forward hands flip with double landing required more effort than the forward hands flip with single landing Thus, the research recommended adopting the outcome results for biomechanics variables for the judging the performance of students in the college of sports education and conducting similar experiments for other skills to categorize most of the biomechanics variables of gymnastic skills .
