Economics of beekeeping in AL- Diwaniyah city

Abstract

Abstract: Beekeeping projects can contribute to the process of economic and social development through multiple products and providing jobs . These projects do not need an advanced technological methods and does not require technical skills or experience high or large amounts of capital . Economists give great importance to study the economics of beekeeping projects to identify the economic efficiency of such projects and their ability to continue working . Study was conducted on a random sample of (25) apiaries in AL-Diwaniyah city .Results indicate that fixed costs accounted for the highest proportion of total costs ,feeding costs accounted for the highest percentage for variable costs, and apiaries surveyed were economically Feasibility through the economic criteria used by the study.
