Study of the effect of Uranyl acetate on the histological structure of spleen in Immature albino rats

Abstract

Previous studies have shown the effects of depleted uranium on the respiratory and urinary system. Since the depleted uranium will be transfer to uranium salts in the soil, which are. Uranyl nitrate and uranyl acetate. These salts can cause contamination to the plant which can be transfer to the human during nutrition. So this study was design to know the effects of uranyl acetate salts on the histological structure of spleen albino rats were used in this study and were given 75 mg/kg W.B of uranyl acetate for one month. After that animals were dissected and spleen was removed. Histological sections were prepared and examined in light microscope. The results have shown that uranyl acetate had an infection: The effectors body weight for animals through reducing weights. Degenerative changes in the spleen and lymph cells which infected in body immunity
