Some Properties of The Tigris and the Euphrates in their Lower Part

Abstract

The middle and south of Iraq mainly depend on surface water of Tigris, Euphrates and Shat Al-Arab because of dryness and rareness of other water resources. The importance of Tigris, Euphrates and Shat Al-Arab rivers protrudes within this area of sedimentary plain, where the annually rain water is less than 100 mm. The groundwater becomes little there, that can be used in various uses such as agricultural, industrial, environmental and drink, in addition to its littleness and non validity due to the elevation of salt ratio. So, the research aims to analyze some features of Tigris and Euphrates in their lower parts and their impacts in the requirement of development
