Abstract
Taqi el Deen Al-Maqreezi is considered one of the most prominent Moslem scholars in Egypt in the ninth century (hegira) / the fifth century A.D. He was able to form a cultural and scientific personality attracting the attention to him being an indispensible man of letters. He owned all the scientific, literary, and social attributes that enabled him to gain among scholars and statesmen a great position for he was well-read. He composed in various fields but he directed his interest to history. It was noticed that he was extremist in his love to his country (Egypt) for he dedicated all his efforts to her and chanted her beauty and glory
