Abstract

This research came "The features of color in Paul Gauguin paintings". Which consists of four chapters. The first chapter where the methodological framework for research that is the problem of research, importance, objectives and then determine the terms. The second chapter included the theoretical framework. While the third chapter on research procedures included in the analysis of samples that included the work of Gauguin. The fourth chapter included, the results, including:1 - confirmed Gauguin to solid colors in flat space which embodies the symbolic meanings through the liberation from the constraints of Impressionism.2 - contrast, transitions between the surfaces, and different colors.
