The Effect of Antioxidant on Some Biochemical and Physiological Parameter in Albino Mal Rabbits Treated With Cholesterol

Abstract

Study was conducted in the laboratories of the Department of Food Science - Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Tikrit, to investigate some effects of the vitamin C , vitamin E , zinc , selenium and Soy protein on some of physiological and biochemical parameter in blood serum of male rabbits that treated by Cholesterol at the dose 400 mg / kg ration for 60 days . Results showed that the treatment with cholesterol alone had a negative effect with significant decrease on Total protein , Albumin , Globulin with significant increase ,in Uric acid ,Alanine aminotransferase(ALT), Aspartate aminotransferase(AST), Alkaline phosphatase (ALP) (P≤0.05).body weight also result showed abnormal Histological change and negative affect in the liver and kidney .Administration of vitamin C, vitamin E, Zinc, Selenium and soy protein post cholesterol treatment gave a significant increase in (TP),Albumin ,Globulin, normal body weight and a significant decrease in uric acid, (ALT) , (AST) , (ALP) and positive improvement in liver and kidney.
