Abstract

Corruption is the main risk that destroy communities in different aspects and stopping the national development and progress especially in societies affected by arm conflicts and instability. Education system is the essential element in the prevention of corruption and in maintaining of transparences, investment in children of today This study aimed to evaluate the values of transparency in the curriculum of Arabic and Mathematic topics in Iraqi Elementary schools in the academic year 2012-2013. The curriculum of both subjects were reviewed ad evaluated according to certain criteria to see the contents of information and training materials related to transparency and stimulating the anti-corruption attitude and practices among primary school children in Iraq. The study revealed that the curricular materials in reading and writing subjects in this grade of learning were deficient in subjects related to transparency concept and its values which help in protecting children from corruptive behavior in the future, the mathematics education materials were a major lacking of this themes in the curricular topics , in conclusion there was a morbid and severe shortage in the curricular topics of Arabic and Mathematics teaching materials regarding anti-corruption and transparency values in this levelof education , reforming the education syllabus and contents of education programs are strongly requested.
