" Skills of Human Resource Workers In Using Information Technology in The Central Library/University of Basra "

Abstract

The research aims to identify the skills enjoyed by the human resources working in the Central Library at the University of Basrah as regard to the use of information technology , and putting the appropriate solutions to improve and develop their skills to use them . The research follows the survey procedure to achieve the questionnaire introduced as a means to collect data about the research community including 75 officials . The research found the following proposals:- 1- It Shows that the number of human resources working in the Central Library under study (75) people , with the highest proportion of their bachelor's degrees (58%) and the lowest proportion of their PhD percentage ( 1.1 % ) and the rest from other certificates campaign . 2-Results of the study showed that the skills possessed by the majority of human resources in the Central Library who have knowledge of the basics of computer and dealing with different operating systems are of a percentage (64% ), followed by knowledge by using the printing programs (word) and percentage (62.7 % ), followed by knowledge of dealing with social networking sites and percentage ( 45.3 % )
